Friends and inspiration

Many of my friends in the blogosphere are also farming, in some form or another.  They're wonderful folks, and we all share our up and downs, and learn from each other.  These are in no particular order.

There's Buttons over at Buttons Thoughts, who shares her many stories with us, accompanied by wonderful pictures.

Jocelyn is at Chicken Scratch, and she's hilarious!  She's got all sorts of animals on her small acreage in New York, and there's never a dull moment at her place :)

Rhonda at Down to Earth shares a wealth of knowledge about living simply, being conscientious consumers, and budgeting.  When I found her blog in April 2012, it solidified my desire to become more self-sufficient.  She really showed me that a simple life is attainable, no matter what stage of life you are in.

I met Tessa at the Barnyard Business session, and she has a blog called Nearly a Farm.  She's actually not too far from us, and it's great to have someone nearby who is in a similar situation.

There is an amazing post over at Slow Living Essentials, titled "Fitting the 'slow' into our fast paced lives".  Every time I start to get overwhelmed, I am going to go read this post (and the comments!) because it is full of wisdom and support.

I volunteer once a week at the local Prince George Equine and Animal Rescue.  It's run by the ever-amazing Nicola, who is wonderful with all animals as well as people :)

Victoria over at Modern Homesteading has fabulous advice for newbie homesteaders like us.  She also has an amazing community on her Facebook page, and they are always ready to offer both wit and wisdom.
